I'd like to use my X 50 as a Masterkeyboard.

The thing is, that there are several sounds within the database of the X 50 that I'd like to use, but at the same time, I've got Plugins on my computer that I'd like to play.

As I'm able to split the Keyboard in different parts to play different sounds, I thought to play on one split part ONLY the sounds from X 50 WITHOUT sending any MIDI Signal. On the other split part, I'd like to send ONLY MIDI Signals WITHOUT using sounds from the X 50.

It's easy to split the keyboard, it's also easy to turn off X 50 sounds on one split part, but I just don't get to the point where I can also split the MIDI Signal.

I tried to change the MIDI channel (for example 2) and use the same channel as I set in the General mode for the split part where I wan't to send MIDI signals (once again channel 2). I changed the MIDI channel to the same one (2) in Ableton Live, the program that I use to play my PlugIn Instruments. But it's always the whole keyboard that sends MIDI Signals or that doesn't, I haven't been able to get just one part that sends MIDI signals to my computer while the other one won't send anything.

I need to have both possibilities at the same time because I'm going to use the keyboard to play on stage.

Would be very nice if anybody could tell me a solution or show me where my mistake is, because I'm sure that there is a possibility to split the MIDI signal...

you'd have to find a away to make ableton (and yourplugins) only respond to certain midi channels

i'm not very familiar with ableton so i can't really say how to do this.

you'd set up some sort of split
and say the left side of the keyboard can transmit notes on midi channel1
and the the right side could be number 2

then set your plugins to respond to ch2.
see if this works..

*thinks a little more*
there's also something with combi's about INT or EXT sounds
maybe set one channel to only be internal and the other external?

i dunno if these work or not, just suggesting things to try off the top of my head.
