Chordial,
No it wasn't her. But I changed the song into a fairytale of sorts which made it her.
George,
Hang in there bro. I like what you do even if you don't consider yourself a singer.

usually I say I like this I like that and this month I didn't help anywone with my advice, so it's time to be a little cruel, and I'll start with you
anyway I can't say a lot, cos the only thing I don't like is the snare sounds, a little cut on the high frequencies of the reverb (not on the dry sound) could be help for me in this one... ok, it's more a subjective advice than a real suggestion, so take it for what it is... a subjective advice...

Sorry I have been major absent for several days. This is such a tremendous, tremendous chorus. This is a great song with a even better ending. You are dang masterful at doing this songwriting business. This is simply....well built, and major fun.
How many songs in a lifetime do you get the chance to write the words "before I’m deeper in doo" ?
Love it! _________________ “I’m into scales right now.”

My girlfriend asked to me play her some of the other OSAM music last week, which I duly did. This evening she said "Tell your friend I've been singing that song Elisabeth Shue to myself" She only heard it once !

Lorenzo...thanks for the listen and the comment. I think it may be more of a mastering issue where I targeted a frequency for some high end compression and the snare's reverb got caught up in with it. I will listen carefully, but sonics-wise it is right with my other songs for this CD.
chordial...yep me too. I am not sure how Elisabeth Shue got that part after the other girl played Lorraine in the first segment, but she was a great choice.
jazlover...thanks for listening. This was a one-time deal...kinda like my other song which expresses "I can't think of any words for this song". It had better be a good song because you can't sing about it twice! Deeper in Doo was just the icing on the cake.
Daz...now THAT is a great compliment! The best thing someone could tell me is that my song is stuck in their head (for better or for worse, ha ha).

I appreciate that Pecca. The posted videos are getting a lot of attention as well. I have the video posted to at least a half dozen sites. All in all I have gotten a few thousand hits. Not bad considering I have never posted video before (except my live band on YouTube).

Lotuzia,
Thank you for listening. Supertramp has had quite an influence on me. I love their melodic approach to pop/rock and appreciate the style they have contributed to modern music! I feel they get over looked quite a bit.
I think someone mentioned the Beatles early on.
To even be mentioned in a sentence with one of those groups is an honor...even if it is to say that I ripped them off!
Thanks again all for the encouragement and listens!

Sorry for being late to the Shue party
Ahh, so thats who was in Adventures - I forgot about that movie ...
I too hear some Fab 4 influence - especially ~1:00 with the harmony vocals - very catchy chorus. Interesting ending - what do you use for drums? Real or ??
No tweaks on the production - sounds clean to me Sounds clean enough and pop enough to be heard on the air. Don't you have some top 40 hits already? Well you should!!

Thanks DrWho!
The drums were samples played in real time on the keyboard. If the money ever hits though, I will be getting my son a Roland electric kit. He is totally awesome for his age and would do really well on my tracks (or any songs for that matter)...certainly give them a little more life than they have now.

I use my TE MIDIed into my interface. In my host I have Battery loaded with Studio Drums 2. I also use samples from Addictive Drums from time to time such as the cymbals. I also use my MO6 for some drums as well as my Roland RS-70 (it is really only good from percussion and some brass and raw synth sounds). I also have Reason with a couple of refills which is where I pull my extra percussion parts from.
This track used Addictive Drums exclusively.
