Hey All,
I visited the beautiful Skomer Island recently, which is located just off the coast of Marloes, Pembrokeshire where a gazzillion sea birds can be found. I managed to grab a few Puffin shots. Hope you like them.
Just ordered the Sigma Bigma 50-500mm which will be delivered hopefully this week, and am off there again in a few weeks where we (Heather and I) will hopefully catch some of the classic Puffin with Sand Eels in their mouth shots.
All taken on the Olympus E-3 with 70-300mm plus 1.4x

The TC looks to be working well.
Great images John
I believe LB was thinking about a bigma at one time, and I have to say it's a great range.
I borrowed a mates sigma 70-200 f2.8 recently, that's a beast of a lens, heavy (but ok), and the results were great.
I'm going macro next, mainly because I don't know what to do.
I fancy a 18-50 f2.8, then do I 50-150 2.8/70-200 2.8, 50-500 arrhh!!
So for now it's the sigma 18-200 for general shots, 50 1.8 (I really like this, great results) , and 10-20 for landscapes etc.
Cheers Simon _________________ Chordial |
