Hey there,
just a question about my microx and octave keys. They work fine on the micro X, when i play the micro Xs keyboard, but when I play the "master" keyboard, there is no change. I assume there is some sort of MIDI set up I need to change...Can anyone help?

Thanks
John

The octave buttons influence the built-in keyboard only. If you want to change the octave of your master keyboard you should change it there.

get a master keyboard with octave buttons.

edit: or since the PA-80 doesn't have octave or assignable buttons, (based on looking at the low-res picture on korg.com)
maybe transpose the patch before hand on your micro-x, and save it to the right octave you need.

it'd be nice if the octave buttons affected connected master keyboards too
thats how things were implemented it on the access virus
maybe korg should copy a thing or 2 from how they do things.

Thanks,
the PA-80 does have octave buttons - in performance mode they work on one layer at a time.

Using these moves the octave for both sound sources - micro X and PA-80. I was hoping to be able to move jus the micro X so that for example both middle 'Cs' are the same.

It looks like I will need to edit the programs and combis that I want to use.
