Today I tried to restore the factory sounds to my Korg M1 and everytime I get this strange symbols on the display. What's going on? Some kind of gobilty gook. I'll appreciate any help and suggestions!

Please explain how you're doing the upgrade, the only other thing I can think of without actually being there is to check that the battery is seated properly with a good connection in the socket, I've seen this problem in the past, and it has come back to two things, the battery, and or loose connections. Good luck.

I saw an instruction on the internet how to replace the battery. Everything went just fine. For loading the factory presets I use SysEx Librarian. I have iMac and Tascam FW1884. Nothing special. And the procedure is quick and easy.

Did you ever do this before with the same setup? the only other thing I can think of is maybe some kind of obscure script going down the line with the transfer, is there any other way you could do this?

No, because I bought it one week ago. I don't know if there is other way to do it, exept with a card, but I don't have any cards to transfer data to M1. I think the problem is hardware.
