I have just bought a new Macbook Pro and need to know what software is best for the Mac. I have a Korg X5d and a Triton Extreme. Any help would be great. Thanks,

Congratulations with your new macbook Cool

Garageband is already on your macbook and is quit good for some first steps into sequencing and or recording audio. To take it a step further you can go with Logic Express, or Cubase. Or you can go with ableton live. It's personal.

If you buy a interface (midi/audio) make sure its USB2.0. The new macbooks don't have firewire anymore.
