I have two modules (Kurzweil Me-1 and Yamaha TG-33) connected to the midi out of the M50 and both are 16 (parts) channels multitimbral. Each of these receive midi messages when I play programs or combi on the M50 but I can't manage to make these two modules receive messages from the M50 sequencer ! What am I missing?
Thanks. |

Sorry to repeat but I'd really like a reply on this one. |

I don't own an M50, but presuming it works like all other Korg workstations ... in the M50 sequence you need to set the correct Channel Number for any track that is routed to your external modules (obviously should marry up with channel of the timbre on external module) and also ensure the status field on the M50 track is set to BTH (i.e. BOTH), EXT or EX2 rather than INT (internal). That ensures the MIDI from the track in the M50 sequencer is sent to the outside world.
