New user here: One sound I have been unable to locate a good match for on the M50 that I used on my old Yamaha keyboard, is Darkmoon.

Dark R&R Piano is close, but it's not quite right There's a decay which I can eliminate using the realtime controls if necessary.

Also, I've been searching for a good source for patch sets. Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

Check the Korg site, they have posted some M3 patches..

The best source I have found so far for Patches,,, my studio... There is NO shortcut,,, find something close, start tweeking... The more you know about synths in general, the faster you can setup EXACTLY what your needing..

But if you find the magic patch provider,,,, PLEASE,,, ADVISE US!!!lol

Welcome to the Korg forum! There are some GREAT users on here ALL willing to help..

Check out the Karma board too. Stephen is the owner over there, be sure to post your M50 info. with him, he's working on a data-base for us...

Lates,

Mike

Don't use the combis, they won't all match and some have Karma etc. elements to them. Just load the pcgs into an unused location in bank E.

You can actually audition them before loading them just by marking them in the Media screen.
