We just had some promo photos done. The guy, who's done many portrait gigs, used a Canon D90 and a high-end tele lens, infinity backdrop, umbrella lights, the whole bit. I have them in both jpeg and gif format on a CD. When I took the CD to a local store to make some 8x10's, the resolution on the prints was awful.
Is there anything I can do to bring them up to a good resolution? Which of the two formats should I be printing from? Would it make a difference? Thanks in advance. |

That happens when you go to high-street stores a lot. They are simply not equipped for anything beyond family 4x6 snaps.
If you want them printed right, then you need to use one of the online stores that specialise in printing images. I use photobox.

Thanks, Sharp. Good advice - it'll be worth it. |
