Hey, I thought I should "pop in" and tell everyone that I have been using the PX4 for effects on a youtube video I uploaded. Specifically, I think you will be interested in the "scratchy voice" effect I used. If anyone is interested to see what I have been doing, it's over here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIaw1Q56PXM
I'm also in the process of getting a camera so I can upload more. I previously had to bug my son to lend me his.
Great forum you have over here! _________________ Jerry |

Thats pretty cool. What are you using to pop the chords with?
I like that talk box tone. I haven't played with the TB on my AX. Now I'm gonna have to! |

Thanks Party Cheif for the compliment on my u-tube video.
What i am using i call it the PopChord, something i designed myself.
I wanted something new that would add creativity to my guitar playing,
and my effects in the PX4. I will be explaining and demonstrating it fully
in new videos on u-tube. I will keep you posted.
Thanks again for watching my video. _________________ Jerry |

Very cool indeed Jerry, thanks Some fine playing and my compliments on your guitars.
I enjoy exploring these kind of alternate playing mechanisms like the EBox and the Jellyfish on the acoustic, so I look forward to reading/hearing more. |

Hi, I love the techniques there. Is it likely that you will be posting the PX4 settings you used for the scartchy voice. Also do you (or anyone) know the PX4 settings to use to get the GnR sound on Sweet Child of Mine? _________________ Look for the rock in everything, it is there.

Hi Jerry,
Here I wait with bated breath.
Got those settings yet, or does it end in death?
Please be quick, please post them now.
I've tried myself but just can't figure how.
Ironically, my pleadings sort of tail off into a whimper and finally a croaking 'scratchy voice'. At least according to my wife who says I pay your post more attention than I do her. _________________ Look for the rock in everything, it is there.

Edwind, I have been busy lately but I will try to post those settings today. I like your poem you made!
Later on, I will also try sending some other settings you might like but today I will be focused on the scratchy one. _________________ Jerry |

Edwin and for anyone who might want to try this edit I call scratchy voice.
Here are settings for it.
Gain 10.0 Treble 8.5 Bass 3.0
Dyna Comp 6.7 Amp BTQ CLN 5.7 Cab 2X12DC 4.3 Mod Talk2 3.0
FX Off Rev Spring2 2.3 NR 3.0
Use Lead Pickup, also I noticed to much bass added a mushy sound
I also was using drop D tuning. Any Questions drop me a post.

Hi Jerry,
I dialled in those settings and got a very inetersting effect, not exactly like yours but pretty close. Whilst dialling, I discovered some differences with equipment that might cause the mis-match. e.g. I can't actually dial 8.5 on the Treble. It has to be 8.3 or 8.7. And as far as the cab is concerned, I just don't have 2x12DC. Still, I like it.

Just thought I would chime In and post 2 edits for the PX4 you might
find interesting. The first one I call NQC meaning not quite clean.
Gain 10.0 treble 10.0 bass 6.3 Dyna Comp 5.7 Amp BTQ CLN 5.7
CAB 212 DC 4.3 MOD Off DLY Off REV Spring 2 3.7 NR 3.0
The next one I call Repeat
Gain 10.0 Treble 10.0 Bass 6.3 Dyna Wahup 2 3.0 Amp UK Blues 3.7
Cab 212BLK 3.7 Mod Trem3 4.0 Dly Off Rev Spring 1 2.7 NR 3.0.
The Repeat sound I use In stereo with a peizo acoustic on the left side,
and the right side lead pickup, its a interesting effect that way.
I also like it without the acoustic sound.

Hi everyone, here Is a edit for the PX4 I call It VOT for vintage organ tone.
This Is a percussive type tone that I use the lead pickup on.
Here are the settings.
Gain 10.0 Treble 4.0 Bass 6.0
DYNA MAX Comp 8.0 AMP BTQ CLN 5.3 CAB 2X12 BLK 7.0
MOD FLANG2 10.0 DLY ECHO 1 3.0 REV ROOM 2 2.3
NR 10.0 I set the NR high so I can get quick attack on my chords and mute
single notes for lead.

Hj everyone here is a new edit for the PX4, I call It TOS for tons of sustain.
Here are the settings for It.
Gain 10.0 treble 3.0 bass 6.0
Dyna COMP 6.0 Amp UK MDN 5.3 Cab 2X12 BLK 4.7
Mod Pitch 3 d detune
Dly Echo 1 4.3
Rev Room 2 2.3
NR 6.0 I like to change this patch sometimes by, Instead of having the
pitch set at detune, lower It to -12 for a octave bass with single notes,
and octave chords. I use the lead pickup.
