this is probably without a workaround but maybe someone has sussed a way or maybe it can be fixed in OS update....
i'm totally let down about the fact that it appears you cant have more than one sound in keyboard mode in patterns....
half the attraction of this was to make a beat, add bass, add a melody, etc etc....
i know i can resample a pattern with bass or something and then change the keyboard sample to something else.....but that gets a little scrappy after a while and it would be much easier and not that difficult for the machine to cope with various samples in keyboard mode in patterns....i dont profess to know how the chips etc make all this happen but it doesnt seem like to much of an ask? |

a workaround would be:
every pattern can have its own keyboard setting (seperate sample assignes to keyboard mode) so u have 16 different settings of which u can make loop or melodie-lines to resample.
i am more bother by the fact u cannot resample only the keyboard when u already have some loops running on which u play a melody line, u have to 1st record the bets who where running as a pattern and than add the melody line in rthe pattern in keyboard mode and then erase the beats loops (since u cannot use the loop function together with the sequencer) and then resample the melody line...
pfff that is not really on the fly |

Just in case no-one read my post. How do YOU record Keyboard mode data to the sequencer so that it plays back your melody line? |

i dont have microsampler to hand but pretty sure i used the same process above. Its really simple so i'm guessing that you are probably right thinking problem with your machine. Bummer....Im not sure yet but i think mine might be glitchy too. Couple of times i seemed to have to turn it off and on for things to make sense again. Might just have been me, learning new machine etc, i'll get in to it over the weekend and find out.... |

that workaround doesnt seem to work...i still cant get more than one sample as keyboard in a pattern. If i want to have a beat, a bassline played in keyboard mode and a piano line played in keyboard mode for example, is this possible? Am i doing something wrong? At the moment if i put a bassline down and then try to add a piano line down, the bassline changes to piano...i might not be explaining very clearly.... |
