ms2000R making no sound

My ms2000R is not making any sound and the patches take a long time to change. The light changes for the patch but the patch name stays the same for about 10 seconfs. Any ideas as to what I can do to this fix this?

I am also getting a "mputodsp check error" when i start up holding 3rd key and the mod on/off key. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Having same type of problem.
It was working OK, and when navigating through Vocoder menus, everything stopped.
I've restored factory presets: problem still there.
Still working on problem.

So i've solved my problem.
Everything seemed to work fine: display, lights, etc...
But patches took too much time to change, and there was no sound.
First time, i solved it by change midi setting local...it was on...i changed it to off....and put it back to on....
then my MS2000 came back to life!
I was able to reproduce the problem: i was changing patches by using Select (1-16) keys...it came back to dead status.
I've tried to change midi local setting....NO RESULT!
I did a unit restore (Global menu), and it came back to life again....
since then i use the Bank up/down with +/- keys to change patches, and everything works fine.
