What did the Karma sell for new? I am thinking of picking one off of EBay to go with my Extreme. Would it be redundant or a nice companion board?
Thanks

in 2003 i bought it for $1399 new. or it might have been $1499. It went for $700 when I traded it in for the Triton Extreme.
I think buying a Korg Karma to use with you Triton Extreme would be extremely redundant. The Triton Extreme has ALL of the Karma's sounds, except for bank E in the Karma, which can easily be downloaded and loaded into the Triton.
The only thing you would gain would be the KARMA function.
I'd suggest you instead buy the Karma Triton software from www.karma-lab.com if you want to use KARMA. It's a PC/Mac program is basically the entire KARMA engine from the Karma Workstation that runs through MIDI to the Triton Extreme. _________________ Korg Kronos-61, 01/Wfd, SONAR Pro |

I got mine on ebay last week for just under £400, which i guess makes it $700-$800.
I agree that it would be redundant somewhat, but the extra knobs and chord buttons are extremely useful when used with the KARMA function. but those are only few advantages.
Of course, if you use lots of complex arrangements and you find yourself running out of polyphony, you'll be able transfer some of that workload to the Karma. _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, RADIAS-R, Volca Bass, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, R3, Kaossilator Pro +, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II,
