Thought I'd consolidate a few open questions I've seen on other forums and threads that you might add to if you have other questions or answers to:

- What's the release date of Kronos?

- What will it cost?

- Can it read OASYS or M3 PCG Programs and Combi's?

- Similar question: Can it import AL-1, STR-1, MOD-7, CX-3 and LAC-1 programs from OASYS?

- Does it have keyboard aftertouch

- Can it audition programs from Hard Disk as OASYS can (an awesome feature that allows you to choose and play individual programs from HD without having to load them onto the OASYS, basically transforming the usabality of your program libraries).

- A Kronos AL-1, STR-1, MOD-7, CX-3 and LAC-1 programs be imported into OASYS?

I jast wonder.

Are knobs are hardwired and can controll only dedicated parameters in the real time or thay can be user reasigned?

Are sliders can control only volume and in karma mode only karma parameters or they can be user reasigned and control other paremeters of the synth too the same way like modwhell can be assignet to different parameters to control in real time?

Thank U

The 8 knobs, 9 sliders, 16 switches to the left of the screen are the "control surface."

The control surface has 6 modes:

1. Synth/MIDI mixer. Sliders are volume, knobs are either per-channel pan or channel strip with pan, EQ, and fx sends for the selected channel (per-channel pan or channel strip via dedicated front-panel button).

2. Same as above, but for audio inputs and audio tracks.

3. External MIDI. Each slider, knob, and switch can be assigned to a different MIDI controller and channel. Switches send 0 when off, 127 when on.

4. Realtime knobs & KARMA. Sliders and switches control KARMA (all sliders assignable; 8 switches assignable, the other 8 select KARMA scenes). Knobs control sounds and effects. Knobs 1-4 have fixed routings to synth parameters; knobs 5-8 are assignable to CCs, which can modulate synths, effects, or both.

5. Tone Adjust. All controls are assignable to synth parameters.

6. Graphic EQ. This applies to Set Lists only; the 9 sliders control the bands of a dedicated graphic EQ.

Best regards,

Dan

1) Does the kronos have a kapacitive or a resistive touchscreen ?

2) Can the virtual synth parameters controlled via sysex (especially the mod7) ?
I would use a external Controller for controlling the parameters of the internal synths.

3) Will the Kronos get the same KAOSS PAD controling of effects as the M3 has ?

4) Will the Kronos have a drum step sequencer via the touchscreen ?

5) Please add automatic sampling of Hardware synths where each note will be sampled automatically and put in one program.

6) Please add a step modulator to the lfo´s to control cutoff .... for the HD-1 engine

This functionality is covered instead by the vector joystick = very similar to M3's XY mode.
