I wouldn't worry. As I understand, KORG haven't released official MSRPs for Europe yet. So any dealer who already has the KRONOS on offer is probably trying to take advantage of the situation, ripping of those who are impatient enough to already pre-order. |
Isn't that exactly the situation in US stores today?
So what's the difference towards Europe?

Yes, of course
But a three months information delay won't work well in internet times. |

Thanks a lot: that statement definitely helps to calm price debates down here in Europe. |

I could live with 3000 for K61. But not more than that.
Of course, I could accept it even if price was somewhat lower than 3000. |

I wouldn't pay if the Kronos is over 200 Euros more than a Motif XF...
I do understand taxes, VAT, and yada yada... but it would be cheaper to take a flight to US to enjoy some vacations, visit some friends and be back with the keyboard if the European price is too expensive.
Seriously, I've already been traveling with the freaking heavy duty neKo... so Kronos, even 88 keys wouldn't be a problem
my 2 cents,
Phil |

They should retain the prices between 2.500-3300 max, over that price it'll be too high to compete with Yamaha and Roland. Take also in consideration that the Kronos is weak in the acoustic sounds department (guitars, strings etc. etc.), at least from what I've heard (that solo violin was horrible). Just my opinion. Nothing more than that. |

Isn't that obvious? Currently, KORG are doing what every vendor would be doing. They are very closely watching how people respond to KRONOS and of course they will price it based on what reactions they see in the market. They won't announce MSRPs before they have to. |

why this completely silence about when will the release of eu price come? | There are price announcements, e.g. from music-service.de:
Kronos 61 - 3999 (= 5450$ whereas US MAP is 2999$)
Kronos 73 - 4719 (= 6425$ whereas US MAP is 3499$)
Kronos 88 - 5129 (= 6980$ whereas US MAP is 3799$)
This is clearly a trap for blind people ...
... or a wimpy strategy to sell out their Motif leftovers first!
I don't think it will pay off for them in the end. I won't buy from a dealer who tried to wind me up.
Korg dealers in Europe, please stop shitting us! _________________ www.soundcloud.com/orpheus2006

At those prices I would not be inclined to rush out and buy one.
It's best to wait until the dust has settled; after all, 'good things come to those who wait'. |

Sorry to sneak in, but it's musik-service.de And yes, those are the prices listed on their website. Insane. _________________ Check out http://it-review.net. Reviews and news - hardware, software and musical instruments.
