I am curious what a good around set up would be. I am looking for something I could hook multiple electronic drums to, some stereo/ 2 wavedrums, an acoustic or/and the line out from my amp? Is there something to will do it all? I was thinking a powered PA. I like the looks of the new impulse 12d but they are expensive at 800 each, Peavey and mackie have some less expensive self powered PA's would one of these work in conjunctio with the items I have listed above? A board with several stereo in's, is there such a beast?

I use the Behringer K1800fx, it is a 180-Watt 4-Channel PA System / Keyboard Amplifier with FX.
I works great for my purposes.
It's plenty loud and has lots of low end.

Junk like that has popped up in a few threads today. Not sure what it is and I'm not about to click on any of it.

I tired the QSC k10 and k12 with and without sub. Sounded real good. The 12's would be best for the lows but add the sub and wow with either size. Still need to find a impulse 12d to try, I was told it is better the the QSCk12.

Man that QSC gear is great, I use it for PA all the the time and love it, but it's very expensive.

Did you check into the Behringer K1800fx it's only about $300 CDN.

http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/K1800FX.aspx

I highly recommend it.

I'm probably going to get a QSC K12. I did like it, I was told the Impulse 12d was a bit better but since I can't find one to try around here and no one on the Peavey forum care to comment on questions about it I'll pass. I'll add a second some day and the subs but for now one should get it down just fine.

I wonder is it possible to run two speakers and one sub and still get stereo out of the two speakers? I do think going to the powered speakers though a small mixer would give me a little extra of what I'm looking for. Anyone have a suggestion for a small mixer? Yamaha, Peavey etc..?

The sub should have L & R out for passing the filtered audio to speakers. You feed the sub a stereo signal and it puts it through a crossover to split the low end which is summed into mono and sent to the sub's amp & driver, the rest of the signal is passed on.

You only need a mixer if you have more instruments to mix!

A pre-amp or DI box will be fine for putting the WD through powered speakers.

Opps sorry I snagged two QSC K10's. I have a great, quite, all around set up now. I do have some noise but it isn't from the speaker it is from a cooling fan inside and doesn't bother me one bit. I love these speakers still. Like WaveDrummer mentioned before though. Stereo isn't all that noticeable the lows seem to be coming from everywhere but there is some serious great tones at the low end of things!
