It states in the specs for the pa3x System...

System
OPOS (Objective Portable Operating System)
RX (Real eXperience)
DNC (Defined Nuance Control)
Natural Ambience Drums Sound Technology
Multitasking, Load while play feature
Upgradable Operating System
Self-Refresh Battery for PCM data

So we can only assume that the load time should be very quick based on information stored when the board was shut down.....It is an interesting question though and a positive answer would be welcome! Cool

One big difference will be...Once you load your samples the first time...from them on they loaded from MEMORY , not disk. so load time should be a lot better than PA800/PA2

Pa3X will start a bit slow the first time it is turned on, but very fast the subsequent times. The first time, PCM samples are loaded to memory; the following times, they will already be in the battery-backed memory, and will allow for much faster start-up times.

Best,
Paolo
