Hi Everyone, I have another new song that I have been working on the last week or so. It's called 'New Beat Syncopate', I tried to keep the song within the constraints of offbeat timing but I'm not sure if it has worked. It still needs to be finished but I will do that soon hopefully.

I like the sounds and how they all blend in together throughout the song. And the drum beat is pretty cool, though I do think that it could slow down at times throughout the song, with a simple 4/4 melody using quarter notes. There were alterations at the end though, and that was good. Also, for me, I think the string melodies could be slowed down at times, and with simpler chord phrases. But you can play around with that yourself and see how that works. Or just play around with the ideas in different songs.
And just a question, why are the songs that you post usually cut off abruptly at the end? _________________ Like my Facebook Page!

I agree with King here. At this length it needs more change up, even some empty space in the middle where some ambient sounds swoop in. Then ending is there but it cuts off rather than fading away. I would check that. You must have chopped off the last note. There is a bluegrassy feel that could be fun with a bit more development. The overall sound and mix is very good so do keep the sound as is. And let us know if you work some more on this. _________________ George Nelson is 2loose

Love the overall ambience here
The little rhythmic figure fits VERY well and the song overall gives me a nice almost dance-like feel and with an extra fulness at times...
It Does need variety I agree .. some change up .. added part .. a large change in the rhythm... .another counter-tune... ? ? and it has a need for PITCH changes somewhere.
I agree w/P. King that it needs some change in tempo (hard with the built in repeat rhythm, true, but half speed would work for a bit) .. like in the string sounds...
And indeed a FADE is needed at the end at least, to give a final ending feel
VERY NICE and quite interesting Thanks!!!!
My Regards!!!!!!!!!!!! John, Johnny, ellll |
