I'm not surprised.
I Sold my vintage archives board on e8ay about 3 years ago and the buyer set me back an old stick of ram trying to claim I'd ripped him off. He had a great scam going, it was nearly impossible to prove otherwise.
I'm glad that you didn't have that experience.
