Just a note: the RH3s in Kronos or SV1 are slightly different.

Could you describe it?

I can describe what I didn't like about the SV1 I played. I felt like on the downstroke I was pushing the keys through mud. I don't know how many have played a Young Chang piano, but I really like the key action of those pianos and wish Korg had something similar. I must admit, though, that everyone has their own taste, and there is no way Korg is going to please everyone...

I took the SV1 to the test to see how the Kronos keyboard would feel like. But I guess that is a waste of time. RH3 should be RH3 sounds more logical to me. But anyways, I liked the SV1 keyboard very much. The response is how I like it. Smile

Unfortunately, not really. The source is here:

I have tried the SV-1 in the past and I liked the keybed. Now I tried the Kronos 73 and I liked it, too, but it was slightly different.

The Kronos is in a music shop now - later maybe I will have the time to compare it with the SV-1.

Please note that the other components are also different in the two instruments, so finally what matters is how it feels for *you* personally.

Velocity curves, nothing more. That was on the P series (P80 etc)

Yes, I remember, it was a P80. Funny how I really had the impression that changing these settings changed my actual reception of the weight. I am sorry for the confusion...

Velocity curves do make a difference on what you hear. For example, you could have a velocity curve that made your light playing sound softer while your heavier playing sound louder.

I have the P80 right here in front of me. BTW: plastic cement will strengthen those keys that break all the time. Just put some on the inside and outside of the key, let dry and then put the keys back.

I don't like the RH3 action. It feels muddy, compared with weighted keys used in Yamaha/Roland keys. Well, compared with my Kawai grand piano action, Yamaha/Roland feels muddy Smile

I'm completely with you on this one. It feels like the keys are submerged in oatmeal. I'm really hoping I can either get used to it or more preferably, modify it to play like a semi-weighted.
