It is quite like a sperm is it not?

May be a bit more fun than the monotron as the ribbon is longer. You get to do wah wah by squeezing the little critter's head. Actually I think the black version looks like a genuine semi-quaver but the white version looks seminal.

Cant wait to do my "My name is not Taro, Ozy Kronos interuptus blues" with bonus Otamatone solo. Then I get $5000 from Ozy and a picture of his arse painted with "Sorry O2TOSIN" on it. Idea

At Exer- Yeah go ahead and troll along with Ozy ... from the country whose would be president raped a HIV+ Guinea refugee Sofitel maid!

At Sharp Thank you for moderating this forum. If Sharp thought I was spamming I would be banned already. I am Not Taro, Just helping other Korg owners to possibly import an instrument. I feel sorry for the massive Tarrif and Tax put on the British..25 %. It some how feels better to put money in a small businessmans pocket than the greedy Government. BTW my esteemed bank had a 6% spread onthe curreny AUD to JPN and charged $24 AUD currency conversion fee. I get to pay 10% GST at customs when they ring me![/img]

Good old Ozy, still aroused by the gothic schoolgirl to the left making her Otamatone go "wah Wah" and showing some great vibrato skills in her stirring rendition of Jingle BELLS.

i am sorry but

1. the prices you quote are not cheaper than buying from the local supply chain
2. there is much hassle and anxiety from ordering, waiting and clearing customs for a product purchased froma dubious source... you do not get to avoid import duty on new products valued at $kk.
3. availability is not an issue.. the warehouses are filling up.
4. i simply do not see how you get a warranty.. do you really imagine that Korg Australia will service for free an item they did not sell?.. in the USA you will NOT get warranty service from a personal or gray import product.period.

So, it will be more expensive, i will have to wait longer, I will have paperwork hassle, it will not have a warranty, i may not be able to register it for customer service purposes and I run the risk of dealing with a 2 bit organisation 8000 miles away?...

Anyone in their right mind buys from local and reputable sources that have received accolades from forums, reviews friends and colleagues for their customer service... in the USA that is sweetwater, samedaymusic, novamusik and a few others...

So, given who is left is not of their right mind, anyone who buys from a never heard of place recommended by a one time poster deserves everything they get after seeing the personal experience of ozy.

yup you are right this is SUCH a deal you need to keep promoting it.

I think this whole thread started as an "opportunity" based on the rumor that Kronos in any key-variant wasn't going to be available in the US for some time. Now that we see the 61-key versions are making their way through the supply chain, it would appear as Mystic38 said, there's no advantage whatsoever.

ok, ok, but... other than that, why not? Rolling Eyes

Remember: ""You get to do wah wah by squeezing the little critter's head".

And that's a big bonus.

He is talking about his shipment to Australia. Instrument prices in Australia are very high.

Flood, my point is not at all "being overly shocked and conservative".
I think the video is harmless concerning that.

But at the same time it shows something, which I do regard as utterly tasteless and idiotic, and you have to sink quite deep to use something silly as that, in that way, from my personal taste and view. It is "Kitsch" in the lowest and worst sense of the word IMO, just in case you know that German word.

I like a lot about Japanese culture, and about many other cultures worldwide as well. But not exactly completely useless, environment polluting plastic toys "from idiotic plans for idiotic use". Smile

What does it say about a musician if he would look at that and see a sperm, rather than a quaver / eighth note?

At Dangerousdave
Quote:

As I am medical Dr, and a musician I see both, When is the last time you saw a white semi-quaver (a quaver being a quarter note- no tail). The duality of the human condition.

At JimKnopf, I agree the word Kitsch describes this perfectly. I feel it could be modified (eg fed through a Kaosspad) or circuit bent to sound a little less raucous.

At Martinhines... Yes you understand perfectly. I will post the price comparison for Australia when Billy Hyde (local Korg dealer) announces the release. A direct flight from Japan makes more sense than giving a trip to USA and back... The cost of warranty is $1000 to$2000 in Australia. The only item I have ever had to claim warranty on is a Dell laptop... I am gentle on my Instruments.

At Mystic38 .. Not everyone lives in the US. Taro is sourcing all three models NOW. His company is very real and at least three years old to my knowledge. Ozy has jumped to a paranoid conclusion that I am Taro and wrote a very derogatory comment about an alleged bad trade while being hazy on the exact details. Similar to Obama "killing" Osama (who died in Dec 2001 of kidney disease).

At Ozy... When do I get my $5000 and my picture? No need to commit suppuku over making a continual putz of yourself. Just get a marker and write a check then "Sorry and O2TOSIN" on your buttocks and do some gonzo porn and all is forgiven. Twisted Evil[/i]
