wait wait wait, you're going from an M3-61 to a Kronos 88 for the band? I assumed you'd just go Kro61 (and enjoy that semi-weighted goodness).
Seriously? _________________ Current Korg Gear: KRONOS 88 (4GB), M50-73 (PS mod), RADIAS-73, Electribe MX, Triton Pro (MOSS, SCSI, CF, 64MB RAM), SQ-64, DVP-1, MEX-8000, MR-1, KAOSSilator, nanoKey, nanoKontrol, 3x nanoPad 2, 3x DS1H, 7x PS1, FC7 (yes Korg, NOT Yamaha). |

That's awesome! Did you rip that off the web or is that a DIY pic? Isn't that every parents nightmare? Their kids playing cars with their keyboard that's worth more than their actual car parked in the driveway! Lol. |

The recent Citroëns have a conventional suspension. But a hydro-pneumatic suspension, called 'Hydractive', is still available as an option on the bigger Citroëns. It's now driven by electronic to allow the car to stay flat while cornering, accelerating or breaking.

One of the funniest times I've had was with a work mate in a hired Citroen Xantia estate.
The rear suspension could be "firmed up" to cater for heavy loads.......
Always a hoot to use on the hardest setting with nothing in the back...

I used to take my entire two, three (sometimes even four) keyboard, two module, mixer, MIDI, etc setup in the back of my Vauxhall Corsa.
I've also done the same in the back of my dad's Audi.
The trick is to put the back seats down! Not hard...
The only car I wouldn't recommend is the car I currently have access to - a Ford Street Ka.
When I bought a 61-key keybed and collected it, it wouldn't even fit in the boot. And that's without it being actually in any kind of bulky keyboard.
And there's only two seats.
Real fun to drive though. _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, RADIAS-R, Volca Bass, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, R3, Kaossilator Pro +, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II,

yeah, right.
Try a Toyota IQ: you'll have to leave your phone's keyboard at home |

Ok - people seriously - again.
People who live in the states - what normal/ average/ everyday type of car (non-SUV, no-mini van or similar type of van) do you use to transport an 88 key type of keyboard with the travel case?
Thanks again. |

this would be a boring thread if we were constrained to be serious!..
50% of cars are trucks anyway, 20% are SUV and minivans.. and surely 10% are way to small.. i have a full size truck and it will carry anything.. even a mother in law.
for cars?..simple logic really, any estate (wagon) will do, and some number of mid-large sedans with fold down rear seat with trunk access are bound to be ok.... _________________ Korg PA4X, Nord Stage 3, Virus Ti Polar, Novation Nova II, Yamaha S70XS, MPC-X, TC Helicon Voicelive Rack, KRK VXT8 monitors, 2012 LP Standard, 1999 Am. hardtail Strat, Fender DRRI, Orange AD30HTC, Marshall Vintage Modern, 2 cans and a piece of string... |

The key is a car that has FOLD DOWN SEATS in the back. Not just a cheesy pass through.
From there you take the measurements of the CASE that you're going to put the Kronos in and then bring a tape measure when you check out cars.
That's what I did last time I went car shopping! _________________ Korg: KRONOS 73, M50-61, 01W/r

All of which is why I'm proposing Korg comes out with a gig friendly version of the Kronos:
~ The joystick/ribbon goes on top (this cuts of 6-7" ? in length)
~ 76 keys (starting at C on the low end)
~ Under 30 pounds
~ Semi-weighted action
The Kronos will likely be a runaway success, so this seems like a very likely re-packaging down the road!
