Hi,

I completed my June tune. Its based on the first patch of Korg's legacy wavestation. The lead was generated by the (legacy) MS-20. On top of that there are sounds from Arturia's Jupiter 8V (I demo this synth right now), the Analog player and G Force's 'String machine'. Logic's Ultrabeat took care of the drums Smile

Its called 'recurring apocalypse' and you you can listen/download it from my site: http://www.sewa-music.com/Site/music.html

I hope you'll like it Smile

cheers
sewa

It sounds so metallic and clear and that buzzy pad is very cool sounding. I wish I had access to some of your very cool gear. Your sounds are amazing. There's a distinct vintage vibe though it sounds technically modern. I like the lead that the arp things towards the end. I'm really impressed how you pulled the sounds together from different places and made them sound so good together. I do like this one for sure.

Thanks for the kind words George.

Its all software except for a brief motif played by the virus. I recently dicovered that you can buy each of Korg's legacy instruments online: http://www.korguser.net/shop/software/

So I got myself two I like most: the wavestation and the MS-20. The strings were also generated by a soft-sampler: http://www.gforcesoftware.com/ins_vsm.php

My hardware synths are down from 7 to 6 and I will be selling another two. Software is just getting too good.

cheers

I'm so jealous of your knowledge and ability to combine instruments and pc. I do all my music in my livingroom which I share with another person and I only have my m3 and a pc, but I don't know how to do anything on the pc except some simple audacity mixing and ozone 3 mastering. I do think that software is the way to go, but I'm a keyboardist so I need a good keyboard such as the m3 with the pitch bend etc to do most of my tracks. Now if I could learn how to use the keybed while using soft synth sounds that would be fantastic. I will soon be done with my cd of instrumental electronica. After that I'm not sure where I intend to go musically. I need a class at some point. In one or more of the popular pc music systems. I have fooled around with pc sequencers but I get all brain-tied and corn-fused!!

Hi Sewa

I also am taken with this one and find it VERY interesting indeed... The first synth sound is very neat and old fashioned .., in the right ways , and the whole sound develops with real orchestral value thereafter!!! There is blend and theme and feel for continuity all through and it LEAVES me with memory FOR IT and a feeling I have heard something exciting.

Your music "knowhow" is simply, getting better with each month/year!! and I hear MANY things here that are of the nature of REAL modern sounding pop accompaniment ...! You seem to be growing in ability and understanding of what you want to do as well... Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed ER hope thats o.k. to say......

You COULD soon be doing some real production and a little work on lyrics and poetry as well as finding different.., perhaps family or friends, to sing some ..., you could devolop enough to end up with a real hit someday.... Embarassed

So anyway It just seems to be going the right way to me... an old classical nut .., 'tis true .., so I may be off pretty bad for all that...

My Regards!!! John ellll Johnny Very Happy

George, for what its worth, Apple's Logic seem to float my boat. I have an motif XF hooked to a Mac Book Pro via a USB cable and the whole setup feels like a keyboard with many synth engines. Cubase did not work for me, this does.

John, I'm honored. In fact myself and my music teacher, who is a classical/jazz pianist, are starting a small business. We would like to offer soundtracks for games and video or vocal projects. I have big hopes for this and I know its something I want to do in the future. It will be something on top of my professional career, for now. Then we will see Smile

My best regards

sewa
