Ok I would really like to stick with the Roland amps if possible. A little more expensive but I find there is usually a reason. My question is if anyone is using any of the following:

Roland PM-10
Roland CA-30
Roland Mobile Cube
Roland PM-03 New?

And if so how well do they do for you? Specifically I would like information on how well it works with the Wavedrum low output issues that have been reported.

If you're not using these I would still like to hear what your using and how well it's working for you.

This will only be for personal/home use for now.

i don't know
but i think the best solution in home is a good headphone

i try many small audio amp with the small speaker....bha...craps sound out cause the smallest speaker and small amp... too tight sound , to small sound without a deep impact frequencies

choose a good headphone for your house and enjoy, it's only my opinion.

Ok and for headphones are you using the 1X output or the 2X output?

i use a K450 of AKG, is very smart, quiet of external environnemental sound, closed, good maintain on your head, very good headroom, deep bass impact,high quality sound and robust, include a case, low cost, 65$ on thomann store

So far I've only tried it on the Bose L1, with great success, but I'd bet the Bose compact would handle it too.

I also agree that a good set of headphones makes the experience worth the cost.

I have used KRK Rokit 5 monitors, ok at low volumes.
I use my 13 year old Sony MDR headphones they sound real good.
My favorite though and what I use at home the most are QSC K10 PA speakers. Self powered deep sworn, on, vocal boost, on, and only turned up about three little clicks but man it sounds great! Stereo or mono. With the deep switch on you get some nice bass but someday I'll add a sub for it. The atmospheric sounds really come to life with the volume up.

I run my wavedrum oriental and mini through a phonic mixer (AM105) and then phonic powered floor speaker. This allows me to also input from an Ipod as well and balance them all out. Plenty of power and good sound. Also has headphone out with no need to constantly swap plugs. Definately worth the cost of set up.

WaveDrummer once said there is some magic going on in the low end. He is right you need something that will do the lows well!

I just got my wavedrum and ordered an SA PWS-15 from Buy.com
and it seems powerful yet quiet. It can power a second, passive
speaker as well.

edit.... yesterday I put the WD through my Zoom G3 (because I
needed a longer cable & the only one I had was XLR) and it was
fun adding some modeling and the loop....

I use a pair of those Line 6 LowDown 110s... 75 watts in a 12" cube format with a hard coned 10" driver.

They have some rudimentary amp modelling circuitry inbuilt which is actually pretty useful for quick 'n dirty waveshaping. Not as satisfying as running through the main PA, but more than enough for jamming with a 4 or 5 piece band.

They stack up nicely on a collapsible luggage trolley for when it's time to schlep them around.
