Your piano skills are pristine perfect,I always enjoy hearing your work.

Songs with emotion and/or self emotion are the most poignant. Music/originals
are the cathartic vehicle to convey emotion. I expressed my frustration with the challenge of local promotion in my original ' Broken Dreams '.

Thanks Greg!

"Broken Dreams" is a nice one, like the lush pads and the piano theme Smile Promotion of music (or any kind of art, for that matter) is hard, especially when the world is your stage. There are just so many others in the same arena competing for attention so it is hard to get noticed.

Your "Brave New You" is also nice, I especially like the middle part with the mellotron like strings. These downbeat tunes of yours are quite soothing in an otherwise hectic day.

What a beautiful work ! Very nice to hear.

From time to time your song reminded me some titles from Emerson Lake & Palmer.

Thank you!

ELP reference is not unlikely. I started practicing octave rolling piano many years ago when I was trying to learn to play Take a Pebble (though I gave up when I got to the jazzy part). And my default organ sound is a modified version of the stock Karn Evil CX-3 patch

So, I took the biggest track of 2017 and rearranged it using my Kronos X for a live band. I kept it POP but took it a tiny bit beyond the four chords. All keys and the synth bass were recorded directly from the Kronos. Don't take this too seriously!
Hope you'll enjoy this,
Cheers!

Garage Sale to Nowhere

https://soundcloud.com/user-898236994/garage-sale-to-nowhere

An instrumental closer to the musical style of trance with hints
of jazz and movie soundtrack.

You might find it relaxing since it is similar to ‘chill ‘ music
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chill-out_music

Also a song metaphor about searching for a better result, or improvement.

Look forward to your remarks

Piano Life

https://soundcloud.com/user-898236994/piano-life

An original song dedicated to a beautiful timeless instrument.

Even in our era preoccupied by electronics, piano holds its
own.

Thanks for listening

Lost and Found

https://soundcloud.com/user-898236994/lost-and-found

A retro down beat instrumental ballad, possibly reminiscent of songs
in the 70’s.

Feel free to share the song style it reminds you of.

Thanks for listening,

Greg

The Slow Lane is my musical answer to a fast paced hectic life.

Slow down and take in the beauty around us.

This retro ballad is reminiscent of simpler times, musical hints
from the 60's/670's.

Thank you for listening,

Greg

And they say why use the Kronos pianos when you have all the latest piano sampling technology in software vsts.

This is why (see below). What began last night as a revisit of the SGX-2 engine after not touching the kronos for more than 6 months, resulted in a 7 minutes solid base for a new song (and a title for it as well).

Hi Greg,

Many good things were happening in your track. I like what you do with texture, dynamics and all that. I keep wanting to hear some electric guitar phrases in certain places. Nothing too aggressive....I don't know, it could be that I was listening to some Guitar smooth jazz earlier.

This track had that mystical quality which kind of goes with the title.

Few things that I would've done differently:
1) That first transition to Piano is too abrupt. It almost feels like it's the end of the song. The second time around, you bring the piano back but the transition is smooth and convincing.

2) I would've kept this particular track under 4 minutes

3) Some timing issues here and there, especially with the woodwinds
