"IF" there was a small chance to build up a PCM sample set
for the Wavedrum SD card , what would be a cool collection ??? Laughing

suggest:
30 drumkit head 30 drumkit rim
10 congas 10 congas (slaps etc )
10 whatever 10 didges rim

for me no fx fun / toy samples are necessary,
tuned samples only in "harmonic quality"

so 100 3/4 layered samples should be used

what would you like to add ??

for me i want just to replace a few acoustique instruments like snare by a better samples snare, better congas, better timbales

i don't use the synthétic sound, i am old school, just acoustic instruments interest me

Record a leisurely walk around a scrap yard with a hammer, sticks and mallets whacking on every interesting chunk of metal you see. Parse the samples out at home in a good wave editor, then mangle them beyond recognition with granualizers, resonant filters and bit crushers.

*That* would make a skookum sample set.

Using a Wavedrum in a vain attempt at reproducing the subtleties of real acoustic instruments honestly seems like an exercise in futility... it's *never* gonna be satisfyingly realistic, and it ignores the potential of the WD for adding new and unique timbres to the percussionist's palette.

So far I like everything I've read hear but would like a balance between acoustic and crazy. Preferably with the ease of swapping micro sd cards.

That sounds like a lot of fun... can you recommend a good wave editor?
