When editing in Sequencermode, the M50 gets slow when I'm progressing on my song.
For instance, I've 8 tracks, 256 bars and all the FX on.
When the song plays and I press the Locate button, it takes a minute to perform that action.
Also copying a track for instance also takes longer than when I first started a new song.
While the M50 seems like a very powerful machine, this makes me feel a little sad.
Does anyone recognize this? _________________ Low frequency rulez |

When using a lot of panning, efx and volume changes - recording them - in seq mode, my M50 takes a few seconds to go to the locate point. A minute sounds like a very long time though. |

How strange! I use the seq a lot. I have even used 15 tracks for a song that consumes about 160 beats, and never had any problem of slowing the actions of locating. It goes fluently, and I also use FX effects. Your songs have to be very complex, and you´ll be in the limit of poliphony consumption.
FYI. Link my sign, and you´ll listen to my music made 100% in the sequencer. Compare to yours. Perhaps mine are kid-songs compared to yours. _________________ 100% hardware made. All is done in a Korg M50 internal sequencer. Now updated (7/09/12) at http://www.hispasonic.com/akmon |

Sounds really good Akmon!
I'll be recording tonight again and I'll use a stopwatch to time the actions.
Currently I'm working on Souvenir de Chine from Jarre and a trance track (with sidechaining).
Shouldn't be that hard for the M50...
I'm still studying the M50 so perhaps I'm doing something inefficiënt.
I'll be back _________________ Low frequency rulez |
