Are you sure that the MIDI files have lyrics in them?

There's a tab at the top of the lyrics page where you must select either Player 1 or 2. If you are using Player 1, and number 2 is showing, then it will say there are no lyrics or text.

I haven't tried with MP3 or songbook yet. When I do, I'll let you know what happens!

This is what I meant....
Page 67 PA3X User Manual wrote: | It may be of great interest to singers and guitar players to know that if a Standard MIDI File or an MP3 file contains lyrics and chords, etc..etc.. |
...hence my question.
If you a linking TXT files, have you correctly set up the links?
Also:-
Page 169 PA3X User Manual wrote: | You can see the following types of lyrics and chords:
• Lyrics contained in a Standard MIDI File or Karaoke™ file
as Lyrics events, or in an MP3 with Lyrics file (in ID3 format
– see www.id3.org).
• Lyrics contained in a “.CDG” file, loaded with an MP3 file
with the same name. When a “.CDG” file exists in the same
directory as an MP3 file, and shares exactly the same name,
it will be loaded with the “MP3” file.
• Lyrics contained in a “.TXT” file, loaded with a Standard
MIDI File, Karaoke™ or MP3 file with the same name.
When a “.TXT” file exists in the same directory as a Standard
MIDI File or MP3 file, and shares exactly the same
name, it will be loaded with the “.MID” or “MP3” file (see
“Text files loaded with Standard MIDI Files and MP3 files”
on page 170).
• Lyrics contained in a “.TXT” file linked to the latestselected
Song-based SongBook entry (see “Linked .TXT”
on page 167).
• When no lyrics data is contained in the Song, or linked to a
SongBook entry, you can see lyrics contained in a “.TXT”
file loaded after selecting a Song |
Cheers

Page 169 in the manual explains all the acceptable "lyrics" conditions.
If you have met these and your files do not work correctly then you may have a problem with your PA3X or a potential software problem.
Were you able to view lyrics before in your MP3 files? What keyboard/device were you using?
If you have MP3/MIDI files etc that have always definitely had lyrics embedded, then they should be seen on the PA3X (again, if they meet the conditions on page 109)

Thanks for the clarification. So there are two types of files Mp3 and mp3/midi and the second file is required to this kb . right? |

If you have MIDI files with embedded lyrics, then you should see them.
If you have MP3 files with embedded lyrics, then you should see them.
Otherwise, you can create your own TXT file with lyrics or whatever you want and this file can be linked to a song in the SONGBOOK so that it automatically loads each time you select the song.
Remember, a SONGBOOK entry can be related to a STYLE or a MIDI file or an MP3 file.
Also, lyrics contained in a “.CDG” file, loaded with an MP3 file
with the same name. When a “.CDG” file exists in the same
directory as an MP3 file, and shares exactly the same name,
it will be loaded with the “MP3” file. CDG files explained here:-
http://www.karaoke-tutor.com/cdg-explanation.html
And, lyrics contained in a “.TXT” file, loaded with a Standard
MIDI File, Karaoke™ or MP3 file with the same name.
When a “.TXT” file exists in the same directory as a Standard
MIDI File or MP3 file, and shares exactly the same
name, it will be loaded with the “.MID” or “MP3” file
Cheers
