editor pref. 44.1???

so in the editor there's a sampling rate preference in where you can choose between 44.1 and 48kz. However it seems my files are always in 48kz and i've read thats all that can be done with the ms-1. So what is it for?

Doesn't seem to export files as 44.1. Maybe I should email korg.
