Hey folks. Here's another track for your consideration in the OSAM project, titled, "Four." Look forward to any thoughts you may want to share. Have a good week.

Interesting use of instruments I'd say. A combination of an electric piano, synthesizer and an acoustic like drumset. The panning could have been better I think. The piano is panned too far to the left. Other than that, it was pretty long. It could have been trimmed down to a couple minutes IMO. The vocals seemed out of sync too at points. Not sure if it was intentional at times or not.

Other than that, this could use a bass, I'd say? Maybe there was one, but I can't tell (damn earphones!). But that would give it some more power and feeling, and improve the overall sound.

Thanks for taking the time to give some feedback on this track. I joined this OSAM project with the idea of getting some input, so i really appreciate getting yours.

Yeah, there are a variety of instruments used in a somewhat eclectic way here, and I did place some of the vocals out of synch intentionally at a few spots, for an effect I had in mind at the time. I'm gonna check out the bass levels that you mentioned. There is a bassline present here; not sure if your headphones are the culprits, 'tho. I listened to this song through several speakers and devices during mastering, and the bass level seemed ok, but I'm gonna revisit it.

The length of this piece was done purposely to sorta emulate a tribal-like chant, if that makes sense. The repetition present in this track means that it could have been cut virtually at any point - or extended, too. Obviously I chose to go longer with it.

In my opinion, there is no sense in getting other opinions or peer critiques if you have a dogmatic or closed mind toward the process, something I learned in art classes years ago. So, I'm gonna go back and do another mastering of this track with some of the points you raised in mind, and post the results here. I'd appreciate it if I could get your feedback when I'm done. Once again, thanks!
