|
|
Recently I got a new Mac Pro with OSX 10.7.5. 2 x 2m4 GHZ 60Core Intel Xeon.
The microSAMPLER Editor/Librarian used to work fine on my previous machine, but now it crashes as soon as I start the program. I've tried re-installing and even found the newer version on the Japanese Korg site. To no avail, I can't get it to work anymore. The only other device I use soundwise is a Focusrite Pro 14 audio interface.
Any ideas? |

Still running Snow Leopard myself, have been thinking about updating to Mountain Lion.
It looks like there's a USB MIDI driver update, posted 9/13/12 for the microsampler. Don't know if that will help.
Definitely email KORG for support if the software still isn't working, as that hasn't been updated since late 2009.
Post your results if you get it working. |

Those USB MIDI drivers are important.
I recently performed a clean install of Snow Leopard.
I installed the latest USB MIDI driver 1.2.0, and it was problematic for me.
(A warning would pop-up about no device connected [although the editor would still open and remain open, but no audio [from sample playback] out of computer like it did previously).
So I reverted to an earlier USB MIDI driver, 1.1.1, and now it works like I think it should [I had to confirm overwriting the latest version USB MIDI driver]. All good now.
I did email KORG a while ago (less than 2 month ago) about Mountain Lion and Windows 8.
This was the response I received...
"As per the compatibility chart posted at korg.com/support, the microSAMPLER software has been cleared for compatibility on both Windows 8 and Mountain Lion."
Hope this information helps. |

No, doesn't help. I've installed the latest USB drivers and microSAMPLER Editor/Librarian. As soon as I try to open the program it immediatly crashes.
It's a shame 'cause now I'm stuck with 'just' a sampler.. |

No it did not.... My MS gets very little use because of it.... And i am really bummed about Korg it's support towards customers. |
