BergerS is absolutely right. Don't depend just on headphones. I have a very small room that I use for a studio and I use headphones and powered speakers. I mainly use my headphones, Audio Technika M40's I think is the model number, when I'm playing late at night and don't want to disturb anyone. I also use them while I'm recording voclas or pretty much anything that requires me to use a microphone. The rest of the time I use my powered monitors. Edirol 100s? I'm sorry but I'm not near my studio right now so I can't see the model numbers. The model numbers aren't really important though. What matters is that I like the sound of them and they were all in your budget. $130 for the headphones and $100 for the speakers.
