|
|
Just played my Kronos live for the first time and it sounded and performed great. I do have one big wish for Korg to implement. I'd like to have some sort of indication as to what part (timbre) is being played in a combi. This would allow me to quickly adjust the mix on the fly so I can fine tune my combis while playing, which I tend to do a lot when performing.
If while looking at the mixer view, there could be a little flashing light on the channel that has activity that would be enough to quickly see which part I'm playing and which channel needs to be adjusted. I have some combis with many channels so it's hard to read which part is which on the fly.
Another related feature that would be great is to allow the option of the mix volume sliders to not change the value of the channel until it gets to the current volume level, so you don't get jumps in volume when trying to adjust it while playing.
All in all, it's a great boost to my playing experience. I'll do a more detailed writeup on it as I play it some more. _________________ Amos

Hey man, just wanted to say I think the second part of your request is actually already available:
Go to the Global page, and in the Basic tab there should be a tab marked Slider--if you set it to catch, I think that gets what you're looking for.
Hope that helps. _________________ Man of Korg Man: MicroKorgXL; MicroStation; Kronos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This can be done. See Parameter Guide: Global P0: Basic Setup 0–1: Basic Setup - Knob/Slider Mode [Jump, Catch] (pg. 757 in version E4) _________________ Kronos 61 & KK KARMA / Triton Ex c/w MOSS and TR KARMA / MS2000 / Radias / Kaossilator Pro & Kaossilator / Korg Kontrol 49 / Nanopad / Novation Nova / Waldorf Blofeld

Amos, your first idea is brilliant. I too would love to see which channels are active in a combi if I'm just playing it and not using Karma for example. Say if all of the channels on Midi channel 1 are colour coded red. And the others were not. That way we could instantly see which ones are hot! _________________ If music is the food of love, play on and play loud!

+1, just don't understand why they didn't implement the same as the M3 bars _________________ ·•● Moreno ●•·

Those meter bars would be great. And hopefully something they can implement without too much effort. So far it's pretty much the only feature that I consistently look for, but don't have when playing live.
Even if they can't do a full on meter like the M3 due to space issues, having the Play or Solo Buttons flash when the part is playing would be plenty of indication for my needs _________________ Amos

I too miss this feature. My work around is that I mute all unused voices, and you can tell which voices are being used by the lit buttons. Works well if you are only using one midi channel. _________________ Previously Owned: Korg Monopoly, Korg Poly800, Roland Juno-106,Yamaha DX11,Korg Triton Extreme,Korg Triton Rack, Yamaha MO8

They have the meter bar in the M3
and the Krome so why not the Kronos
it's a great indicator it help's with the
workflow.
