Hi,
I had an error like that (dont remenber if it was the same ?). The firmware needs apparently some minor adjustements. (a french user too) _________________ Korg Krome 61 - Korg Wavestation EX - Ableton Live |

It doesn't even start up. Get's to like 10 percent or something and then a grey box in the left upper corner appears saying "System error id : 216 Task id : 1 line : 0124 //source/hardware/T01PCMMemory.cpp" _________________ Korg Krome - 73 |

Here's is one that I have found in the Krome operating manual on page 126 that one can try -
The power is turned on, but the display does
not work normally, or an error message is displayed.
There is no sound when you play the
keyboard, and the KROME does not function
normally.
This type of problem may occur if a data writing
operation to internal memory was not completed
correctly, for example, if the power of the KROME was
turned off while a program or other data was being
written. If this occurs, use the following procedure to
initialize the KROME’s internal memory.
1. Turn off the power.
2. Initialize the KROME. While holding down the
EXIT button and the PAGE button located beside
it, turn on the power of the KROME.
The KROME will be initialized, and data will be
written into internal memory. While the data is
being written, the display will indicate “Now writing
into internal memory.”
After initialization, all user data will be empty, and
you will need to re‐load the preload data. Execute
the Global mode menu command Load Preload/
Demo Data to load the data. → p.125
Do hope it works for you guys

Seems like there's nothing to do. Apparently you can only factory reset it when it's already working. And that tip with the page+exit button thing is the only other thing I can find, and that doesn't work. Sigh. _________________ Korg Krome - 73 |

I've never had that error, but I was still hoping that it might have done the trick - Sorry to hear that it didn't
I guess the only thing one can do in a situation like that is write an email directly to korg
http://korg.com/ContactInfo
I think I would try that if it was my unit that was down
It can't be right to have such a new unit and already having it not working

Yeah I sent them a mail yesterday so we will see how quick they are responding. Also wrote to them on facebook. I feel like I've tried everything now. But it's just to wait and see what they say.
One week it lasted. *sigh*
Thanks for your help though. _________________ Korg Krome - 73 |

Well I couldnt even start it up so there was absolutely nothing I can do.
You should try to hard reset it, if that doesnt solve it you better send it back. _________________ Korg Krome - 73 |
