Waterdrum and Wavedrummer

Thank you for posting the manuals - glad to see Korg did the right thing. Looks like iindividual manuals will be published for each language. They only made a supplement for the oriental model. This is going to be my next purchase.

Actually, the Global Edition ships with a printed version of the Quick Start guide as well as CD containing a pdf version of the same, plus a pdf version of the Parameter Guide. All of them are offered in English, French, German and Japanese

I chose to only post the English version here but I suspect that the entire assortment will be available on Korg's site soon. If somebody prefers another specific language, let me know.

Here's the latest video promo for the Wavedrum Global
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGtP-6_eTkY

The soundtrack is something I composed, produced and performed all the parts for, using just one Wavedrum Global. I tried to implement as many of the new sounds as possible. The end result is a compilation of different people around the world "playing along" to it.

It ended up being 24 different tracks, and about 30 different programs.

I'm the "New York City" guy. Wink

@ "New York City" guy
thx for this composition with the new sounds

here are a few more "noodled" youtubes

Sound 198

182

183

199

193

I hope for some Utubes that especially demonstrate the new Double Algos

btw :
I just imagine a clip by lets say Fender guitars
with a good backing track and
20 people playing fake guitar with no cable connected ...
or lets say a Korg Kronos clip in this style....
playing on a not connected keyboard ... 3x Laughing

again : thx for your composition and intro to the new sounds

Review of the Global
from MikeDolbear.com
http://www.mikedolbear.com/story.asp?StoryID=3478

some thoughts about increased sensibility :

Quote:
Sensitivity appears to have also changed. As soon as I turned the Global on it was obvious that there had been tweaks in this department. However, more sensitive isn''t necessarily a good thing as it means that the whole drum (there, I''ve said it, I''ve called it a drum) is very sensitive to vibration coming up the stand or airborne vibration as well. It was very easy to get the Wavedrum to trigger just by tapping a pair of stick over the head or brushing my foot against the stand. In fact it was so severe that I actually reduced the sensitivity to better suite my playing – certain patches were even triggering as I turned the notched Value knob or my headphone cable was brushing lightly against the body of the drum.
The ultra sensitivity also caused issues with the dynamic range as the Global seemed to go from very quiet to loud in character without really getting much more physically louder, just it would be if going through a rather overdone compressor (but to be honest I''ve found this with most modelled sounds). Thankfully, reducing the sensitivity and tweaking the upper dynamics seemed to improve this slightly.

are there some Global players around who could compare sensibility ?
what about feedback situations ?
