I can't figure out any way to do this, so thinking it's just a limitation.
If I have a long sample, say a kick drum with reverb, and you press the same key again, it stops the sample and starts it again. Is there a way to have them playing over the top of each other like my SPD-SX drum pad?
It seems stupid because you could put the same sample on the key next to it, and have them playing concurrently. If not, this is getting returned - :'( |

It is a limitation. You cannot do this in sample mode.
You can however play a single sample in Keyboard mode, where every key plays the sample at the same key, giving you a chorus effect.
You might be able to resample the bass drum this way to a new pad, or maybe create a pattern for just the bass drum using this trick? (then resample?)
How about recording the same sample on 4 different keys, and doing it that way? (as you stated)
Good luck! |
