I just installed Komplete 9 Ultimate last night and after purchasing an external hard drive to use for the sample library so to keep the large files off my Mac. Yet upon installation I did not set the file path to the external drive Embarassed. So after the installation completed I copied the library to the external drive but when I tried to remove the library from my Mac I was unable and got a message that the OS X needs the library and cannot be removed.
I am sure there is a simple solution (I hope so anyway). I am hoping I do not have to remove & reinstall the software.

If I remember what I read correctly the the files have to be on a bootable drive so if your external drive is a mass storage but not bootable it won't work. Then again that might be NI's maschine software. I just don't remember off the top of my head but maybe this will jog someone else's memory! Very Happy

I just got tired of trying to find out how to do so I removed & reinstalled the correct way and it works like a champ.

I now have so much stuff to learn between Logic X, Komplete 9 and the Kronos that I will busy for years to come.

So much to learn so little time! I would love komplete9 ultimate but my ssd just isn't big enough. I need an external drive, and will load my full os on it and use it on e the time arrives. All music stuff will be on a bootable external thunderbolt ssd, or at least that is my dream. Wink

As Sammy Hagar once said "that's what dreams are made of"
