So, the X8 is a bitch to move but it's an amazing piece of machinery. You can't toggle through patches like I want on it without sacrificing my mod pedal (only room for one switch type pedal and one damper). I play in a prog metal band so I typically use strings, piano and lead sounds. The lead sounds on my X8 are kinda meh, strings and piano are awesome (had an expansion for the strings). I can sell the X8 for like 1500 and pick up a 73 key Krome for like 900-1000. I was also looking at an M50 but with them being so close in price I figured the new one would probably be the better bet?

So, what I need:
Ability to have a switch pedal (for switching patches)l, hold pedal, mod pedal.
Basic workstation features (patch editing, creating songs).
Something not 70+ pounds.
Great strings, piano and lead sounds.

Anyone wanna help a brotha out?

You're on the right track with the M3. It's much better then Krome or M50. Very well built and great sounds.
