Well, the title says it. I've got an MS20 at home that have been lent to me, I also have my Moogerfooger (Lowpass Filter, Phaser, Freqbox and Control Processor). I would love it if someone could give me ideas of how to connect them for interesting result. I too often and up playing that standard envelope-filtered bass. But it would be fun to try something else now that I've got the capabilities for modular mayhem. Of course I can "try everything", but it would be nice to get some tips on what gives musically interesting result and not just wacky ones. |

The first thing that comes to mind is to use the LFO in the control processor in addition to the MS-20's. I always like working with two LFOs. Maybe you can use the oscillator in the Freqbox for some frequency modulation on the MS-20? Maybe running some beats into the moog Lowpass Filter and then run the envelope follower out into the MS-20's VCF in. That's just off the top of my head and not owning any of these things (yet!). |
