THIS IS NOT FOR EVERY OWNER - so, before you get too excited, this is what it is about:-
Quote: | POWER button
Pa800 exemplars whose Serial Number begins with “69” includes a new type of POWER button, that works in a different
way than described in the User Manual. Here is how it works:
• Keep the POWER button pressed for about one second to turn the instrument on (the display will light up).
• Keep the POWER button pressed for about one second to turn the instrument off (the display will go dark).
Operating System version 2.03 (Auto Power Off )
On Pa800 exemplars whose Serial Number begins with “69”, a new Auto Power
Off function has been added. This function does not appear in exemplars with
a different type of Serial Numbers.
To avoid wasting power, Pa800 will by default automatically turn off after two
hours of non-active use (playing, pressing buttons or using the touch-screen).
Please save any unsaved data before taking a prolonged pause.
You can turn this function on or off in the Global > General Controls page. Save
these settings by choosing the Write Global-Global Setup command from the
page menu |
Check your serial number BEFORE upgrading.
Please read: http://www.korgpa.com/images/stories/sw/pa800/os/Pa800%20Upgrade%20manual%20v.2.03.pdf
Cheers
Pete

If you don't have the "69" keyboard then that is the way I would see it too.

Hi Members,
This might seem to be a repitition but having said the above, the last update i.e. from version 1.60 to 2.00 would assumed to be the last update for Korg Pa800. If so, please guide me to download the OS and Musical Resouces files for uploading in my Pa800. I searched through korgpa.com but only found the version 2.03 files there, which I dont belive are for the Korg Pa800 except the examplers.
Regards,
Umair |

Thanx Rick, much appreciated.
I would like to clarify something here that the procedural document (PDF File) provided with the OS update says that if only the OS needs to be updated, the Musical Resources need not to be backed up, unless the new set of Musical Resources is being uploaded. Having downloaded the said file that you referred for Version 2.02, it only contains the OS & not the Musical Resources. Though I have backed up my existing data, do you think that while loading the OS only through the given file, I will have all my factory and user data available on the keyboard after upgrading?
Regards,
Umair |

Apparenetly there was no change from ver 2.01 to 2.02 in the Musical Resources file. You can get the 2.01 version Musical Resources file here ...
http://korg.com/uploads/Download/Pa800_res_v201_634618938203480000.zip
If you currently have 2.01 installed, you only need to load the 2.02 PKG file to correct a couple bugs.
If you have the V 2.0 installed, I believe you need to load the V2.01 PKG and BKP files, then load the V2.02 PKG file.
Be sure to Media > Save > ALL before doing any of these upgrades. _________________ ”It’s easy to play any musical instrument: all you have to do is touch the right key at the right time and the instrument will play itself.”

Regardless, if you get my 2012 Resources you can forget about most of the factory presets and get quaiity Performannces instead, plus a lot of extras. Check out my webpages and user comments:

Thanx for your input John.
Going through the reviews on your site, the set seems to be very interesting with all the tweaking and fresh stuff. Let me just get through with my Pa800's issue as referred above and I shall get back to you for more info on your offering.

Umair |
