I have not been able to get an OTS setting to stay the way I set it. Perhaps someone can help me. The PA900 OTS changes with a change in variation but what I am experiencing is the OTS voice is not available the instant I change a variation but becomes available on the 1st beat of the next measure.

So, how do I set it to become available when the new variation button is pressed and stay that way?

Mine does not - and it is really annoying.

Deane,

The thing is that the variation changes instantly as well in that Mode, no matter what beat you are on. ????

Deane,

Turn off the Auto Fill Button and try the three different STS button settings.

You get many different combinations depending on the settings of these two buttons.

Also on the balance issue, I set my balance between the style and keyboard to the one o'clock position and that seems to give good balance on the styles I have tried so far.

Deane,

I set the Master EQ:
Low = +5.5
Mid-low = +3.5
Mid-Hi = 0.0
High = +10.0

Not done tweaking yet, but like that on some of the stuff so far.

Bill,
The EQ makes a big difference. I'll keep playing with it too - Let you know how it goes.

Still having same OTS problem.

My STS changes as soon as the new variation is selected, which is good!

I tried those EQ settings briefly and I did like the higher numbers. I actually liked the Mid-Hi at +3.5 as well since otherwise you seem to lose some of the style instruments.

Graham,
Did you do something to setup the OTS changes?
No matter what I do I can't get it to change instantly.

I'm struggling to think what it could be. Could it be the upgrade to 1.01? Is it a Lock?

PM one of the Pa gurus.

See pages 137-138 of the English manual ...

will enter after it has been selected. This setting is only available
for the ‘Variation’ and ‘Fill’ Style Elements.
Immediate, first measure
The Style Element enters immediately, and begins
from the first measure. Only available on Fills.
Immediate, current measure
The Style Element enters immediately, and begins
from the current measure. Only available on Fills.
Next measure, first measure
The Style Element enters at the beginning of the
next measure, and begins from the first measure
of the new pattern. Available on both Fills and
Variations.
Next measure, current measure
The Style Element enters at the beginning of the
next measure, and begins from the current measure. Only available on Variations.

Deane,

As I mention previous, there are 6 possible combination of settings for how the STS reacts with the style variation changes and these settings also affect when the var change kicks in as it does not have to wait to the end of the bar to change in all cases.

Even the Auto Fill button gets into the action.

Bill,
I can't find where those settings are set and locked in. What happens now is some styles work as I like but some don't. Also, on some of the styles not all the OTS voices act the same way - some start on the 1st beat of the next measure while some start instantly. Puzzled.

I am still working with OS V1.00 and thinking about applying OS V1.01 to see if that fixes things.
