You all know quite a bit more than me when it comes to MIDI and system exclusive data.. Thank everyone for contributing. This forum is extremely helpful and friendly.

I am using the MS-1 as well as an MPC1000 (JJOS128XL) and using/programming SysEx is new to me.

Here are three starter questions to all of you that know what you're doing:

+ Is there a way to send banks to the MS-1 without use of the editor / librarian software using only MIDI connection? (not the MS-1's USB) If so,

+ How does the MS-1 send & receive sample and bank data?

+ Could I use my MPC1000 to send a new bank to the MS-1?

Basically I am trying to send banks & samples to the Microsampler with something other than a laptop / desktop computer & the librarian software.

Thanks in advance for any knowledgeable information you guys may have for me! Very Happy
