After watching Marc Doty's eccellent youtubes it was obvious.
3 Parts/tracks with ability to delete individ parts.
Do exactly what you do as with the KPro . .. Make a dedicated metronome track to lay down your main vco track and delete when you need add something to that track.
Eg - enable vco 3 set octave to highest octave - enable step record and lay down 4 notes on the downbeats - I set the 4th beat as the highest note and the previous 3 a semitone lower.
There's your metronome. You may wish to save that to save time creating later songs.
Now go into norm record, let your fingers dance over those golden keys - write over the metronome track if you need the 3rd vco...

That is what I was going to suggest when I saw the subject of your post.
I suppose you could also monitor the Sync Out click... |
