I've just put my first two M50 tracks up to Soundcloud. Both are recorded live using internal combi's. More of a jamming session than anything - the odd timing issue and bum note. The recordings were made using audacity via my wifes laptop so fairly noisy too. If anyone has any suggestions on a reasonably cheap but quality DR then i'd appreciate an input.

Anyway here they are... hope they don't pain your ears too much.... technically I don't play a note so this is the first music i've made on any kind of device Embarassed

This is what I use to record, and it saves in MP3...

It also comes in handy if you have a guitar, because it has guitar effects built in.

Ahhh thanks. And well within budget. There is so much noise going straight tp the laptop. Ive got a USB output on my monitor speakers but that didnt improve anything. Not top late for a Christmas present Smile

partz, you can also look at a USB audio interface to your laptop.
I've found mixing on a laptop sounds much better. I use M-audio/Avid Fast Track. It's great value for the price, and included Pro Tools DAW as well.
