Ok ...
I am having trouble syncing the volca beats with my daw. It receives a midi signal starts when I press play in my daw but it is always exactly on step out when I play or record.

I am using the fast track pro as to send midi to the volca and my daw is ablton.

Any ideas as I am pulling my hair out. Tried everything I know

not really a problem I can reproduce (not using ableton), but I read somewhere that there is actually a Firmware-Update for the beat that supposedly fixes some rare-ish sync problem.

the update and the how-to for it is posted somewhere here as well. if i recall correctly, you have to transfer the update to the unit via an audio(!)output connected to the sync input, or something.

maybe that would help?

If you are using the Volca Beats with a DAW, the best thing to do is disable the Sync function in Ableton's MIDI settings and just use Ableton as your main sequencer. To do this, go to the MIDI preferences, find the listed MIDI Output port which the Volca is responding to, leave Track highlighted, but turn Sync off. From here, you can just record a blank MIDI clip in Ableton, then double click it to manually pencil in the notes.

the volca beats has midi sync problems. it kicks out of time regardless of using hardware sequencer like my mpc 1000 or ableton live..
really getting frustrated with it..

Mine is modified but exactly the same thing happens to one of my music partners brand new one and it's not modded yet.

any real fix for this yet Korg?
