When I'm running the volcas connected through the sync cables I can here them on other tracks in ableton. Anyone else noticed this? Any fixes. I thought about trying new cables to sync but find it hard to believe that will fix it since all three that came with the volcas do it. |

The sync cables don't carry audio information. They send control data only.
If you're hearing audio bleed into other channels in Ableton it's either happening at your audio interface or you need to check the I/O settings in Ableton. |

actually, the sync cables DO carry audio.
itīs just not a pleasant sound itīs a rapidly clicking sync-signal.
and the jacks as well as the supplied cables arenīt shielded very well... I can imagine that with hi-gain inputs on your interface, you might be able to pick up some bleed when one track is silent but the other ones are playing.
but then again, thatīs analogue... crosstalk and bleedover has always been a problem, and itīs part of the charme (for me, at least! ^^).
Try other cables, try re-arranging the sync order, and - donīt forget to check other suggestions, such as Randyīs.
Maybe your problem really has a totally different origin. |
