I have a PA900 and I also posted this question on that forum, but I'm sure it is much the same with PA3X.
Not sure what I'm doing here, as I am pretty much a novice at midi parameters.
I have a Peak FCB4N2 midi foot controller. I would like to have it control the Vocal Harmonizer on/off, Break/Fill, Text down and up, etc.
Is the way to do this to change Preset in the PA900, as indicated in the manual here:
"MIDI channels can be automatically configured by selecting a
MIDI Preset. Each of them lets you automatically assign a value
to various MIDI parameters, to allow an easier connection with
a particular MIDI controller.
For detailed information about the preloaded MIDI Presets, see
“MIDI Preset” on page 353.
After selecting a MIDI Preset, you can apply any changes to each
channel’s settings. To store the changes in memory, select the
“Write Midi Preset” command in the page menu to save it to
memory (see “Write Midi Preset dialog box” on page 275).
If so what commands do I program the controller to send?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Hi,
I believe that you will have set the correct channel and the midi CC or CC32 commands on the pedal to be sent to the Keyboard. This has to match what the Keyboard needs to see to turn on and off the Vocal Harmonizer on/off, Break/Fill, etc. These might be in the user manual of the Keyboard as the Midi Parameters.
Hope that helps somewhat. _________________ www.youtube.com/synthesizerplayer |

Thanks, I had a little setback with some unexpected open heart surgery, but I am now getting back to doing this. Funny how your priorities can change really quickly!
