I have read that the Pa900 has unbalanced outputs (as oppposed to the pa3x which has balanced outputs). Does anyone know how detrimental to sound quality this is in a live gigging situation, and if there are solutions (perhaps using a DI box)?

I used DI boxes successfully in the past - can't remember which keyboard - think it was PA1XPro or maybe Korg KARMA - but it worked perfectly.

Cheers

Unless you are running extremely long cables from the keyboard to amp or mixer, it will make no difference at all.

Not true in my experience - I had a "hiss" on audio on unbalanced cables (3 metre) from one keyboard and the DI boxes (recommended to me by one of our forum members a fair while ago) completely fixed the problem.

O.K. I just have never had a problem with them. Of course you have to use good quality cables. I have had noise on cheap ones sometimes.
Thanks Pete!

Yep - that may have been my problem - can't remember except the DI boxes were a good solution.

Cheers
