|
|
I have just bought this 88 key controller to use with my Pa900 in my home studio.
The instructions in the manual tell you to select the Master Keyboard preset and to ensure you set the controller to the Global Channel (by default channel 1), but it did not advise on settings for the Midi In Controls. After finding some things not working correctly, I found that I needed to change the Midi In Controls as follows:
Midi In Octave Transpose ON
Track Mute Active ON
Chord 1 Midi Channel Off
Chord 2 Midi Channel Off
Save by "Write to Midi Preset"
I tried searching for advice but couldn't find any, so hopefully this will help someone in the future.
Initial impressions of the M-Audio keyboard are good, semi-weighted and a good cross between the PA900 and a piano. Being 88 keys it will allow me to play some wider ranging instrumental pieces at home, and it's just as easy to take the Pa900 off the top tier to take out with me. _________________ Graham (Pa1000) |
