I'm curious.
How many of you have loaded & listened to the PRELOAD demos, and listened to the option demos on korg.com?
Are these demos inspirational?
Do they provide you with a "sense of what the instrument is capable of" ?
Is it still worthwhile for Korg to provide them?
Are the free option banks useful for you?
Comments are welcome. |

More sounds are always welcome here, especially with all the free space that Korg thoughtfully provided to store Programs and Combis on the Kross. It was a little confusing when the new banks were released - that other than the User Bank, each PCG contained duplications of sounds already included in the stock soundset banks AB&C, but once explained, it makes sense.
For me anyway, the demos are a mixed blessing - they show so much expertise and skill in the programming that they can actually be intimidating! It's like: "Oh wow, this sounds awesome - but how could I ever do anything half as impressive?!? I think I'll go make a snack..."
But on the other hand, yes, they do show what the instrument (in the hands of a master) could be made to accomplish. And that's got to be inspiring. |
